Here's a question, why is it the churches we work for (not as R4G) have no idea how to use the band when every other church would love to have us?
Well in any case it's been a while since I blogged and alot has happened but in search of peace I didn't write any of it this time. However there is good news, we are in the process of recording our next CD finally, and I should have a better idea of when it will be done in a few days.

as 2010 goes by there is a difference tis year in what's going on. Maybe it's the fact I'm trying to be nice to people, nah!!!!! Wait I know, this time feels like a band, that's great but it doesn't feel like ministry anymore. There's something missing.... and I think I know what....

Season's come to an end, doors close and all things change. It is with sorrow and regret that we announce that both George and Tony are no longer with the Renegades. Change in priorities and what we want to accomplish have caused some changes. 
    
We would like to thank Tony for the short time he spent with us. His guitar added a level of energy that took us to another level.
    
George was a founding and loyal member of R4G and was there during some of the trials and tribulations that we went through in year one. At this time his focus is on his family and there's nothing wrong with that. It is with great thanks and love that we say Goodbye for now.

What a year. The NO APOLOGIES '09 tour went good. I can't say perfect, we seem to have annoyed alot of people along the way. That's ok we're not for everyone and we know that. We recorded the CD and then switched our sound. Tony was in tehn out then in then out and now he's a full Renegade.

There's a few things left for this year and we can't wait until 2010. Here's what we're talking about:

Oh yeah and I'm gonna try not to get on everyones nerves.

    Life is good. we had a busy blessed weekend. Put alot of miles on my jeep. Lower Burrell to Washington to Lower Burrell to Springdale to McKeesport to Homewood to Lower Burrell to Uniontown to Rochester to Lower Burrell to Uniontown to Lower Burrell. Sleep.....

    The future is wide open for us. With the Keys and what Tony adds to us. I can't wait until we get some time under our belts. Did someone say recording???

    So here we are again.... convicted... feeling forced to go along with what everyone is expecting from R4G... everyone except me. You see I've been fighting with the choice between who we are and who I think we are supposed to be. Our biggest strength has been our approach to what we do and the sound, But for a while now I've been feeling that we need to change. I felt I heard the MAN tell me to lay down my sword (guitar) and make the switch but i ignored that, i let everyone else influence that. So now R4G is stuck in a rut, we have taken all the momentum and totally stalled. See I gave everyone what they wanted and lost sight of what's important. Sure it was cool to have R4G be popular. And it felt good to be up on stage ripping it up. But lately there's been no peace for me. So after this Saturday's revival (it's too fast to change over) I am laying down the sword. We're switching over to a piano based sound (think Pink Floyd, Allman Brothers, Elton John... Jason Upton) I'm sure this will have mixed reactions but I'm not worried about what man tells me, I more concerned with doing what the MAN tells me to.

well it's june 1st and changes are in the air for the renegades 4 God and I mean alot of changes. I can't really say anything right now but theres alot of stuff on the table and a few of them are major changes for us.

the cd is done and available for a "love offering" we'll have them with us everywhere we go.

    So recording is actually almost done. Ok the band is done, I still have guitar parts and vocals. Then it's total mix down, but even that makes it sound too simple what I hope happens is by wednesday all the parts are done and rough mixes are given to the guys to listen for a few days, in the car, ipod whereever and then we make changes. I'm still hopeful that by June 1st it's all done and then we start burning them. by we I should say I have more work, the guys get to sit back.

    So I'm writing the first blog on our new web page and no one can even see it. The page isn't ready yet but there's news, isn't there always. You see yesterday we started recording the demo. We put down the basic tracks to 5 maybe 6 songs so far and we have another 5 or 6 to go. Then I get to take it and add guitars and vocals and anything else I can think of to make it sound good. You see the whole point here is to get some attention so we can record it the right way, but we like alot of others are broke....lol

    Anyway no complaints here. We've been blessed so far and if it ended today it was all worth it. But there's no reason to think we can't glorify JESUS on a much larger scale. Like has been said there's revival coming, there's no reason we can't be in front.
